What is kundalini yoga?
It is an energetic practice in which we work the energy of life through four pillars: breathing, dynamic postures, bandhas (they lock the energy within the body) and mantras (chants). Thanks to the concentration on different points, the energy goes towards the places on which we work
Why is it good?
Kundalini allows you to work on emotions, the awakening of consciousness, creativity. It is a powerful and dynamic tool to soothe stress, anger and anxiety. It strengthens the nervous system, purifies the blood, brings balance to the mind and body. It also balances the glandular system. Kundalini connects us to our intuitions and sensations.
With whom ?
Adrian Parfene, aka Prabhu Singh, focuses on joy. His philosophy is summarized as follows: “Doing things is good; doing them with joy and grace is better! » Only thus can we achieve freedom. The important thing, for this master yogi who came to kundalini seventeen years ago after a dramatic experience, is to face events with a smile. And not to view the rising and falling waves of life as personal attacks. The important thing is to feel in control of your destiny, to know what you want. Such clarity brings strength, motivation and confidence.
How does it happen ?
Accessible to all, this practice does not require any particular skills. Each lesson begins with series, always different and for which the teacher sets the intentions at the start of the session. These series are used to work on detachment, kidney energy, anger, etc. The exercises are punctuated by mantras (chants).
When is it?
Wednesday at 9:10 a.m. or 20:30 a.m.
What is the spirit of the place?
The room is a former dance studio with parquet flooring and lots of natural light. It is beautiful and spacious. Its walls are white like those of an art gallery, with large-format paintings. Yoga mats are available.
Why do we love?
Because the class is intense, guided by Adrian's beautiful deep voice, with dynamic exercises, breathing and chanted meditations that awaken and diffuse the energy located at the base of the spine.
This practice works in depth throughout our being to allow us to approach our true identity. It frees us from our fears, our limiting beliefs, our old patterns, in order to open our heart and our mind, and to achieve a stable self capable of action.
