To the O – 1905

the specialist
work clothing

Founded in 1905 in Paris, A l'Ouvrier, also called "A L'O", is the oldest boutique and brand of work clothing in the capital, which has been providing quality clothing for almost 120 years: work overalls, sailor shirts , pea coats, jackets, cooks' jackets, railway workers' outfits, etc.

In the Marais district (3rd) since 2022, it brings together the four historic references of the sector, which are also pillars of French slow fashion, sustainable and authentic: Vétra, Danton, Le Glazik, Orcival.

Each brand has its unique know-how through its own workshop and its iconic products.

Vétra, always run by the same family without interruption, has offered since 1927 a wide range for men and women, work jackets in a variety of colors and fabrics as well as overalls and coveralls.

Since 1928, Glazik has been the historic specialist in Breton pea coats and pea coats, made 100% made in France and in the same woolen cloth for decades since its origins.

Created in 1931, Danton, a French brand of work clothing, is renowned, particularly, in the world of cooking, with its flagship model: the chef's jacket.

Today the majority of its collection is made in Japan, where demanding customers love Danton clothing, but remain part of its French workwear heritage.

Finally, the historic Orcival, founded in 1939, known for its sailor stripes, highly sought after in Japan, has supplied the French navy since the Second World War. It was also recognized by the MoMA in New York in 2017 as the original brand of the true French sailor shirt.

Enough to excite fans of authentic fashion who will find at A L'O a wardrobe of beautiful, comfortable, durable French clothing with an impeccable cut.
