FIRST STAR • Small plate n°6 (left) – PARIS • Bastille vase – Eiffel Tower (right) – Faïencerie Georges

Here is a wonderful gift idea, original, chic and... madly Parisian! This is the “roofs of Paris” vase, with the Eiffel Tower and Bastille in the background, signed Faïencerie George.

It is one of the many decorative objects offered by this earthenware company founded in 1898 in Nevers which recently opened on rue Charlot, in the Marais.

Plates, dishes, vases, cups: the factory has been producing them for four generations. And has cultivated for more than a century recognized know-how, which is based on total control of all stages of production: manufacturing of plaster molds, working with the earth (calibration and casting), enamelling, drawing, hand painting. by hand, installation of chromos, cooking.

The result is several collections of plates and objects for the home which satisfy a clientele of individuals who love tableware.

4 plates from the RANDONNÉE collection – Faïencerie Georges

We particularly like the “Paris” collections, dedicated to the capital, “Premiere star”, on the theme of skiing, “Abyss”, dedicated to the underwater world, and “Pylônes” which represents… high voltage lines!

Faïencerie Georges also offers a tailor-made service with, for example, plates representing the country house, based on a photo provided by the latter.

Several major restaurants in France (for example Chez Benoit by Alain Ducasse, in the 4th), Japan and the United Arab Emirates have also set their sights on this creative house. And U.S. too.

Although it has become democratized, now affecting all profiles and concerning one in five French people, including 16% women compared to 10% men, it still remains taboo due to its definitive and transgressive nature.
