Do you know Arita? In the south of Japan, on the island of Kyushu, it is a town known for being the first place where porcelain firing was successful. It was in 1616.
The richly decorated, brightly colored porcelains later found their way to Europe through the Dutch East India Company. This rich history extends today to the Marais, in Paris, thanks to Made by Kihara.
