The first scene is as colorful as the title of the play itself: His mouth knows no Sunday. It opens with an inflatable swimming pool, a pink carpet, extravagant clothing and, very quickly, a pig appears, one of those that are raised and slaughtered in Brittany, and that is celebrated at the table at Christmas. in Martinique, imported by the first settlers.

This kitsch telescoping could be reminiscent of a photo by David Lachapelle. But it is simply the beginning of a performance without pretense by Rébecca Chaillon and Pierre Guillois which is inspired by their respective journeys. She is from Martinique, he from Brittany. Over the course of the story, Rébecca realizes that she is black and Pierre, that he is homosexual.
These people who lay themselves bare explore their ambiguous relationship to Catholicism, to the sacred, to purity. The flesh comes quite naturally to weld these questions together, that of the animal, that which we eat, that which crystallizes the paradox between the pleasure of the taste of blood and the feeling of guilt of the nourishing killing.

It's a joyous delirium supported by an abrasive and poetic text which resembles a verbal joust. Rejoicing. Scathing. And crazy.
