Founded in 1912, it was one of the first silent cinemas in Paris. Closed during the Second World War, it reopened its doors in the 1960s. Classified as an arthouse cinema.

Opened in 1939 under the name Radio-Cité-Bastille, this cinema screens newsreels. In 1961, it was renamed Le Bastille. In 1971, it became a screening room for X-rated films with a room of 475 seats. Since 1984, it has been a three-room complex.
