What does rock music have to do with ice cream? A priori none... except a certain François-Xavier Goudemand, a marketing professional also fond of rock, hard-rock and metal, who published Oh My Rock! a book on the origin of the names of 101 music groups published in 2021. With Claire, his wife, a former IT project manager (she also loves music), he has just opened Moustache, in the Marais , which, at the end of rue de Bretagne, on the Square du Temple side, sells excellent ice creams without additives, colorings, preservatives or GMOs.

" Mustache ? » It could be that of Freddy Mercury to whom the ice cream couple dedicated Kind of Magic!, an ice cream made from coconut cream with nettle and chia seeds. But, in reality, the name refers to the “mustache” that the greediest people make by involuntarily dabbing the top of their lips with their horn.
The house offers nearly 150 perfumes – yes, 150, one-five-zero! – created by master ice cream maker Gérard Sanchez in his production workshop in Saint-Malo, with natural and organic ingredients: whole farm milk, seasonal fruits. It will take time to try them all but we have already tested the yellow lemon from Syracuse, the Paris-Brest ice cream (inspired by the pastry of the same name), the cracker flavor from Vence and the bourbon vanilla ice cream from Madagascar ( 8th best in France for the vanilla category according to Gault & Millau).

Inaugurated in mid-May, Mustache is already enjoying deserved success and is contributing to the revitalization of this portion of rue de Bretagne which, these days, is seeing three or four other stores open.
