Le Marais is the district of encounters and chance. At the turn of a street, we come across beings with unique character and beauty. Here we are in front of Jeff, a DJ, model and graphic designer. Of Swiss, Congolese and Mauritian origin, he introduces himself: “I came to mix for Unknownuk a cutting-edge English brand, and two of my friends accompanied me. Together we created our brand. It's called Cleverboystudios. »
Jeff (center, in the photo) adds: "Even if we didn't go to fashion school, we think that with our avant-garde spirit, we can bring something to this industry."
Then, his friends Ufohendrix and Junowatanabe join the conversation: “We came to support him, it’s cool to be there with him! »
Now is the time to press the three acolytes against one of the magnificent carriage doors of the Marais to photograph them. Juno (right) defines herself as a creative at heart: “I am a designer, a model maker.
My thing is pure creation but also artistic direction, so this idea of founding a label with Jeff and Ufo came quite quickly. Because we've known each other for a long time. We grew up with the idea of charting our own path, of expressing our desire to touch everything. Our clothes tell our personality, our energy, our way of living, we enjoy being together and we share it. »
Ufo (left) is a photographer, artistic director and also a stylist. “For me the Marais represents a spirit different from other corners of Paris. I like the atmosphere, the people who move around there because they feel freer, they dress as they want. We see that they feel good here.
And then the Marais also has thrift stores! I like to buy any item of clothing and wear it however I want. For me clothes are a means of expression, they have no assigned gender. It's your personality that determines whether it does or not. And my jewelry is the same, they come from punk boutiques in London or Vinted. »
