Like the Olympic athletes at the opening ceremony, Le Marais Mood embarked on a cruise on the Seine. But for a private cruise, in a small group (six passengers), with champagne on the key. That's what Green River Cruises offers for 450 euros for a one and a half hour cruise. For six people, that's 75 euros per person, which, in the end, is perhaps not so excessive if you consider that half of humanity would do anything to experience that once in their lives.

We set sail in the Marais, at the foot of the Pont-Marie (4th) for a descent of the river towards the Eiffel Tower. Very quickly, we no longer know where to look. On the right bank or the left bank, all the jewels of Parisian heritage appear before our dazzled eyes: the Hôtel de Ville, the Louvre, the Grand Palais, the Pont Alexandre III, the Zouave of the Pont de l'Alma… But what to do: enjoy the magical moment or immortalize everything on Instagram? Cruel dilemma.

At the Eiffel Tower, we turn around (tip: the smart ones book the night cruise to see the Grande Dame twinkle on the hour). Then we go against the current. In the meantime, the captain has served us a glass of champagne (you can also bring your own drinks). We glide past the Académie française and under countless bridges (21 to be exact), we greet the other boats and the National Assembly, we brush past Notre-Dame and leave the islands of La Cité and Saint-Louis to port. And it's almost over.

In front of the Arab World Institute, last tack. After ninety minutes we dock again at the foot of the Pont Marie. Was it great? No, it was better than that. Was it too short? Yes, a thousand thunders, but there is a two-hour version that goes all the way to the Statue of Liberty! Will we come back? It's obvious, Brest thunder!

Oysters and fish: P'tit Mousse knows his job

Why bother going to Wepler or La Coupole, when there is P'tit Mousse? Both an oyster bar and a fish restaurant, this address on Rue Rambuteau advantageously replaces the Parisian brasseries on Place Clichy and Boulevard Montparnasse.

History of the Marais: an exhibition and a catalogue
