The Ofr bookstore. is so open to the world that it spills onto the sidewalk. Rue Dupetit-Thouars, the books spread out on the tables on either side of the entrance give an idea of what awaits customers behind the window: ultra-trendy fashion magazines, hyper-edgy design magazines, publications “lifestyle” English, American, Italian, Korean, Brazilian, etc.

Renowned as “the coolest in Paris”, the Ofr bookstore. is unique in that it brings together a community of faithful who come from far away and also fans who meet on site or on Instagram (46,2K followers).

Each fashion week provides proof of this: the Marais address opened in 2007 attracts influencers and fashionistas from all over the world, eager to feed themselves with the best source to enlarge their image bank and broaden their ideas.

But Ofr. is also a gallery, as it says on the front. Over the course of a busy life (the owner was already organizing festive events when he was 16, producing his own films at 20, creating a magazine at 23).

Alexandre Thumerelle, associated since the beginning with his sister Marie, has exhibited hundreds of artists in the various ephemeral places that they have opened in Paris and around the world for twenty years. Then they settled in the upper Marais and never left. So much the better.
