Who doesn’t know the comic strip “The Rabbi’s Cat”? This cat with speech, who wants to have his bar mitzvah and marry the daughter of the rabbi of Algiers.
Its creator, Joann Sfar, was born in Nice in 1971 into a Jewish family from Eastern Europe and the Maghreb. The idea for this comic came to him while watching his cat Imhotep live and from the family story.

In this retrospective at the Museum of Art and History of Judaism in the heart of the Marais, the first of its kind, we will see many original plates presented in images by the famous cat.
The fantastic is also in the spotlight with the Vampires series, a short animated film by this author which gives a lot of space to youth, wonder and music.

An entire section of wall is dedicated to eroticism in an imaginary exchange with Pascin, a painter in Montparnasse in the 1910s and 30s.
At the bookstore, we find 220 titles by Joann Sfar.
