Showing the raw, the primitive, the instinct that inhabits nature, this is what François Rastoll wanted to show us with his exhibition “PREDATEUЯ”.

Driven by the unquenchable thirst of the self-taught, Rastoll has been working for twenty-six years as a painter and then a photographer. This last art for which he sometimes uses black and white, sometimes cold colors to reveal his subjects shrouded in mystery.

For the “PREDATEUЯ” exhibition, this man with numerous tattoos and energetic character drew from his archives works often in large formats: 60×90, 80×80, 50×80, 40×60, 50×50, 30 ×30.

This takes us into his world of abstract impressionism mixed with a good dose of dreaminess.

Organized like a hunt in thirteen black and white images and one in color, “PREDATEUЯ” tells the relationship between humans and plants.

Apart from his work in silver, François Rastoll shows his production in ink, nebulae with undulating waves, brushed with pure inks mixed with sapphire or emerald powders.

The gallerist also produced a hundred copies of a catalog of his exhibition, with cover screen-printed on canvas by the C-pia studio, €40.

Ethan Murrow and his hymn to plants

Ethan Murrow and his hymn to plants

The Girls of Calvaire gallery, sheltered at the back of a courtyard, is hosting the solo show “Magic Soil” by the American Ethan Murrow until November 25. A unique set of around fifteen paintings and drawings that pay homage to nature.

Marilyn forever

Marilyn forever

Sixty years after her death, Marilyn still embodies the eternal feminine. In the heart of the Marais, Joseph gallery, the Monroe Experience offers a digital and poetic exhibition until November 21, to better understand the myth and the woman, a start-up before her time, entrepreneur and modern for the time (sexual freedom , psychoanalysis etc.).

Peter Bond, the wandering painter

Peter Bond, the wandering painter

There is something of David Hockney in this painter who, like his illustrious elder, illuminates the world with colors. But, as we know, the Englishman is unaffordable – he is the most popular living artist in the world – while the Australian sells for between 1 and 000 euros depending on the format, at the Gratadou gallery…

Ray, like “ray of sunshine”, for this yellow sign of one hundred square meters with a double entrance. It's the business of two childhood friends, Hadrien, who comes from the events industry, and Valentin, a computer scientist.

Bel Canto, an evening of singing

Bel Canto, an evening of singing

Pushing the door of Bel Canto is like entering the opera. On the upper quay of the Seine, facing Ile Saint-Louis, Bel Canto is not an ordinary restaurant. Here, we dine but above all, we come to listen to the great classics of lyrical art, performed by... the room staff!

Whether they are Walloons or Flemish, the French love the Belgians for their energy and their communicative good humor. Here are some Belgian addresses firmly established in the Marais.
