Empreintes

French art concept store

Nestled in the heart of the Marais, near the Enfants-Rouges market, Empreintes is much more than a concept store; it is a vibrant tribute to French crafts.

In this temple of creation, each object tells a story of transformation and know-how.

From delicate vases to bold sculptures, pieces of furniture, tableware and contemporary jewelry, Empreintes offers an eclectic and refined selection.

Materials reign supreme: paper, stoneware, leather, but also more surprising materials such as horsehair or straw, are transformed under the expert hands of craftsmen.

Each creation, whether unique or in small series, is an ode to poetry and innovation. Empreintes is an invitation to (re)discover French artistic craftsmanship in all its diversity and modernity.

At the "Collection" art gallery dedicated to contemporary crafts and located on the 2nd floor of the building, you can find the works of many artists; they are exhibited for 1 year, compared to 4 months at the boutique.

Here are some of the many talents found at Empreintes:

  • Christine Piel – Felt maker, she forms impressive decorative and architectural panels in wool felt in flat and volume.
  • Studio Nosqua – Glass technician and designer, the co-founders of this house reinterpret this material in lighting, furniture and walls…
  • Agathe You – A needle embroiderer, she creates textile sculptures, jewelry and embroidered paintings in the spirit of a “cabinet of curiosities”.
  • Jean-Michel Letellier – An artist of matter, he revisits traditional Japanese techniques to produce a plastic expression where paper is a work in its own right.

May 26, 2024 is Mother's Day

On this occasion, young and old celebrate their mother with a phone call, a gift, a bouquet of flowers. Mamas are celebrated all over the world and in most countries in the month of May.
