A stone's throw from the Saint-Paul metro station and a stone's throw from the BHV, a little piece of Brittany has just been established. At the helm of this new ship, chef France. Originally from Finistère, she has been making crepes for more than 20 years, so after experimenting with the takeaway kiosk – Food Breizh on the banks of the Seine, near the National Assembly – here she is in her “real” restaurant.

Accessible via Rue François Miron or Rue de Rivoli, this establishment with double entrances has the feel of a family home with its decoration found in Brittany or at Emmaüs. Because the owner did not want “fast-deco” to remain faithful to the spirit of the place, concerned about quality, its decoration as well as its sourcing, mainly organic and Breton.

Moreover, the menu is short (synonymous with fresh produce!). There you can find buckwheat pancakes and pancakes made fresh in front of you. From the very basic Kraz galette (crispy pancake with butter and salt) to the opulent Founus (€17) composed of egg, ham, emmental, mushrooms, smoked bacon and andouille sausage, including the vegetarian smoked Portobello pancake and tartar of seaweed (13€).

On the sweet side, the season is in the spotlight and during this summer period, roasted peaches and rhubarb are out, or for ice cream lovers, a scoop from Jampi, an ice cream parlor in Brest. A simple, family-friendly address that we are delighted to find on the touristy rue de Rivoli.
